Hi ya~ so, as I promised, here's my report from Animecon (finally, dash it). It was located in Turku, Finland in July 15th17th and it was the first convention where I was only for one day and not only with my sisters. I had noticed that usually the second con day had been pretty much just chilling around in same places as the day before and seeing same stuff, and the hotels always cost so much. That's why I decided to rather hang around one day and go home to sleep in the evening.
As my youngest sister AndyApina had already left to the convention the day before, me, ZenAne and my boyfriend took a train to Turku in Saturday morning. I think I haven't worn my Gothic Lolita dress in other cons besides Animecon '09
so it was a natural choice to wear it now, too.
My parasol is a gift from my aneki, she bought it in Japan last month when she was seeing her relatives there. I looove it.
I think I haven't told much about my boyfriend which is mostly because I haven't really told much to my friends, either. Anyway, we call him "Sai" because I called him that before I knew his name and he reminded me a bit about Sai because of his pale skin, dark contact lenses, expressionless face (back then) and black hair.
He's not much into anime or manga but is now kinda hooked on Naruto since Andy borrowed him a few volumes, and he asked to come along to the con since he's never been to one. We've been dating almost 2 months now and I can honestly say that he's the reason why I haven't been updating much anything lately.T_T
He acted also in my short film "BOKU" which was shown in our school's film festival in my last birthday.
He was wearing that same top hat in Animecon, too (though it doesn't show in the other pictures) and we experienced quite funny moment in the train on our way to Turku. A couple of stations before our destination a mother and about 3-year-old boy sat down in front of us. The boy was so freaking annoying! He just yelled out loud everything he saw outside the window like "MOMMYICANSEEACARNOWICAN'TSEECARSMOMMYWHAT'STHATMOMMYWHAT'STHISMOMMY" and we were like "argghhhhhhTT_TT" until we finally reached Turku. When we were putting our jackets back on, the kid glanced at us and saw Sai putting the top hat on.
And then the little boy whispered: "Mommy, that mister is a magician!"
I cracked up so bad I couldn't help but giggle for the next 3 minutes and I still remind Sai of how he made that kid so impressed that he lowered his voiuce for the first time during that horrible trip. Sai himself mostly just grunted that he's not any freaking mr. Magician.
After hanging around for a while and shopping some manga Zen went to change to her cosplay (which was Endo Kanna from 20th Century Boys this time) and we bumped into Andy.^^ We mostly just fooled around in the garden area, took loads of pictures of the cosplayers who passed by us and just chilled out.
Andy tried to braid Sai's hair, too. Or rather just his sideburns
My parasol is so awesome. Sai would've lifted us to the sky but I had forgotten to fill the parasol's fuel tank.
Since Sai and Andy are usually the youngest ones in our group (yeah, he's younger than me) they always end up doing something really weird together like this trollfacing contest. Andy, you're not supposed to crack up!
Meanwhile, Zen aka Kanna and me just sighed to each other and went to take some more pictures of other cosplayers
such as this one. I saw many amazing One Piece cosplays, which of this one was the most clever, in my opinion. It's freaking awesome!
There was a weird moment when me and Sai were just sitting alone for a while and saw a Sai cosplayer walking towards us. I just yelled "Look Sai, it's Sai!" Luckily Zen got this pic of them at the same time.X3
Actually, when we were sitting down on that stone a random woman came to ask if she could take a picture of us. We were like "
Uh, why? We're not cosplaying or anything." and she just smiled "But you're just so cute there! Please?"
How could we say no?^^
Later on we met Skypeach too, but since me and Sai had already decided which train we'd take back to Helsinki we didn't have much time to chat or any to draw.:/ She and me promised to draw something proper to each other later next week but guess whaaaat
we're both lazy asses so we have done nothing yet.XDD; I try to, though! Soon! I will! Really!TT_TT
Sai and me left my little sisters for another fabulous convention day to Turku and went back home to make waffles at his house.>w> Sai had also liked his very first con, saying that it was nicer than music festivals since people weren't drunk off their asses and it was okay to be a "freak" or just "different", as someone would say. Maybe he'll join our company next time, too.^
All in all, it was a good day. But I couldn't believe it was oveeeerrrr~ I had waited for next Animecon for 2 years and I'd say again that it was one of the best cons ever, but there again
they have all been so great this year.X3 more to come? Idk, but it's okay. It's been great this far.:3
My last semester in high school starts in 3 weeks, but first there's my cousin's wedding tomorrow (kyaa) and we're going to the summer house for a while.T_T I won't be online then, unfortunately
and my subscription is gonna run out meanwhile that.TT_TT if you can, I hope you could donate me points so I can upgrade again after my exams are over in September. I'm gonna be very very busy busy the next months but I hope you can understand it. I have only 6 weeks of school left and 2-6 exams to take and then I'm
out._. Gotta figure out what happens after that.
But until then, take care and enjoy your summer
and just enjoy life. Life is sweet.
